David Simpson

David Simpson heads up the Hedge Fund Division at Hazeltree. Previous to its acquisition by Hazeltree, David founded Siman Systems the leading Fund margin and financing platform. This enables Hazeltree to offer a complete Treasury Management solution for asset managers, helping them improve their returns and resilience. Prior to setting up Siman, David was the head of Financial Resource Management at Barclays International overseeing bank returns. He was also accountable for the implementation of MIFID II in 2016 and the deputy Head of Structured Capital Markets. David was an MD at Goldman Sachs helping build its Equity Finance Desk and was previously a trader at Lehman Brothers and a tax director at Salomon Brothers where he provided tax advice to the trading floor. David is a qualified solicitor.
