In this role, you will collaborate closely with backend engineers and product managers to build scalable, performant, and intuitive interfaces for complex financial workflows. While the primary focus is front‑end development, familiarity with Python will enable effective collaboration across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive front‑end applications with a strong emphasis on usability and performance.
  • Own feature development from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to integrate front‑end components with Python‑based services and APIs.
  • Contribute to front‑end architecture decisions, including component design, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure high‑quality code through robust unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers; mentor junior developers as appropriate.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support the integration of AI‑driven insights into user interfaces, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and RAG‑based workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.

  • Proficiency in modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Working experience with Python, including consuming or contributing to backend services and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture patterns, state management, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and backend systems.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of SQL databases and data modelling concepts.
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and modern software engineering design patterns.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, or containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Exposure to building data‑heavy or analytics‑driven user interfaces.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and front‑end performance optimization best practices.

Why Join Hazeltree?

  • Build user‑facing applications for a mission‑critical platform used by leading financial institutions.
  • Influence front‑end architecture and UI standards across the product.
  • Work with a highly collaborative, globally distributed engineering team.
